Linda Ngoma

September 16, 1971 - March 26, 2022

LINDA NGOMA was born on 16 September 1971 to Thobeka Magwaca at Eziphunzana Location (Duncan Village) in East London, South Africa. She started her schooling at Luzuko Primary School in Mdantsane, she completed her junior secondary education at Dumaninonke Primary School at Tsolo Location, and she completed her matric (lih Grade) at St. Cuthbert’s High School. She pursued her dream of becoming a teacher by attending Lumko College where she graduated with a Teaching Diploma and became a teacher. With a passion for teaching, Linda taught in different schools in the Eastern Cape from 1994-2000. She migrated to the United States in 2000. In the United States, Linda pursued a career in healthcare and completed her studies as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Caregiver. Because she cared much about the well being of others, caring for those in need of care became a calling for her. Part of Linda’s legacy was to help those in need. You did not have to be someone she knew. Even people she just met she was willing to help. Linda touched everyone around her in a special way. Her caring heart and love of people were contagious. Her slogan was always treating people the way you want to be treated. She specialized as a caregiver for senior patients, and she treated them like family. Linda was working as a caregiver before she passed away. Linda’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Linda gave us all such courage and hope, and she reminded us of the preciousness of life. Linda Ngoma is survived by her siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends. She will surely be missed.
