Legacy of Love The harvest does not speak of an untimely cutting down of the grain; rather it speaks of it being in its season. Therefore, the life lived by our departed loved one should not be viewed as untimely, but in it’s season, the season of God’s choosing. Embrace the appreciation for the one that gave life, gave provision, good or bad; realizing it all is granted possible through the blessings of Jesus Christ. “Quiet on the Set,” said God, Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Knowing her role flawlessly, Leatrice Regina West-Withers, went silent. Regina was born October 3, 1965 to Nathaniel and Dora West in Malvern, Arkansas. She blossomed into a fun loving and charming child who had a whim for theatrics. Her early education was through Malvern Public Schools. She earned her Bachelors from Arkansas State University. Regina began her walk with Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Rockport in Malvern, Arkansas. April 18, 1992, Regina joyously married her college sweetheart, Anthony Withers—who swept her off her feet, the moment he made her laugh. Their union was blessed with two daughters, who she loved with laughter and protective might. Regina had a deep love for family. She relished teaching, music and traveling. But, her passion, was drama! There was nothing she didn’t know about the stage. Regina spent time in Los Angeles, Hollywood and New York pursuing her dream—acting. She landed a spot in the movie “White Men Can’t Jump” and others. After moving to Richmond, Virginia, Regina spent many years traveling with Theater IV, Virginia Repertory. As life progressed, she shared her love of drama and music teaching students in Henrico County Public Schools. With a family-first heart and mind, she refocused her Hollywood dreams and found immeasurable joy at home—teaching and directing plays. Great Hope Baptist Church and Rolfe Middle School became the stages on which she transformed lives. Regina leaves treasured memories to devoted husband, Anthony Withers; daughters, Nayleah (McKenzee) Withers and Sydney Withers; siblings, Rosie Faye West of California, Boyce West and Sharon Traylor of Arkansas; father-in-law, Vernon Withers; mother-in-law, Eunice Withers and brother-in-law, Basil Withers, all of Arkansas; a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, other relatives, friends and special friends John and Mary Collins of Virginia and Trevor and Preston Maddox, Jr. of Florida.
