    Kimberly Denise Hawkins

    January 12, 1968 - March 10, 2021

Kimberly Denise Hawkins affectionately known as "Aunt Kim or Worm" of Richmond, Virginia. She was born into this world on January 12, 1968 to the late Gloria Hawkins Johnson and Horace C. Clyde. The Lord called her home on March 10, 2021 where she now rests in the Savior's loving arms. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Hawkins Johnson; father, Horace C. Hawkins; maternal grandmother, Verlie Mae Randolph; maternal grandfather, Lloyd Randolph; paternal grandmother, Delores D. Hawkins; paternal grandparents, David and Virgie Hawkins; nephew, Jeffrey Hawkins Jr.; and cousin, Erica Ryland. At an early age, Kim began her Christian journey at Pilgrim Baptist Church where she was baptized, served on the Junior Missionary Board, was a youth usher and participated regularly in Sunday School. She later joined 31st Baptist Church, where she continued to be an active member. Kim was educated in the Richmond and Henrico County Public Schools System where she was crowned Miss Eastend and later graduated from Varina High School in 1986. She later entered into the work force where she gained employment as a Front Desk Supervisor at Holiday Inn Hotel for many years. Shortly after, she was employed at Oliver Hill Courts Building until 2017. In 2018, she joined Caritas as a Shelter Monitor where she supervised homeless women of various ages. Kim was an avid PTA member of Franklin Military School, where her son, Warren, attended high school. She was also a breast cancer survivor. During her fight, she forged a close relationship with Pastor Patricia Goode Champ of Faith Community Baptist Church. Kim loved her family and the time she spent with them. She leaves to cherish her memories son, Warren Hubbard Jr.; brother, Jeffrey D. (Shonda) Hawkins; nephews, Keeon Laidler, Kwame` Hawkins, Khalil Hawkins; great niece, Kamya Laidler; devoted friend, Diana Thomas; devoted cousins, Caronda Bond, Sibyl Kee, Valerie Page, Carletta Randolph and Terri Holmes; friend, Warren Hubbard Sr. along with a host of godchildren, relatives and friends. We thank God for the life of this loving mother, aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend who always put family first.
