Kerney Lindsey
September 4, 1955 - May 1, 2021
KERNEY STEVEN LINDSEY, affectionately known as “Wilco,” was born to the late William Steven Frisby and Arnita Lindsey on September 4, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on May 1, 2021. Wilco completed his high school education at Lake Clifton High School in 1974. While there, he was a star athlete, playing for the basketball team from 1972-1973. He then went into the workforce, gaining employment with the Baltimore City Department of Work Waste Water, where he worked for 27 years. Whenever you saw Wilco, you saw a camera. He loved to take photos. He loved family and often was the host of backyard gatherings with family and friends. With a hustler spirit, Wilco always found a way to make a dollar. He loved to work and take care of his family. He was a huge fan of sports and music. Singing brought him tremendous joy, and he often could be heard belting the tunes of Gerald Levert and the Whispers. His favorite song was “DJ Don’t” by Gerald Levert. Wilco was the proud father of three children: Kearney, Talacey, and Kerney, Jr. (Snookums). His five grandchildren, Bobby, Galiyah, Trinidy, Zoey, and Kae’lyn meant the entire world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Arnita; one sister, Lorraine; and two brothers, Carl and Dennis. He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Kearney and Talacey; one son, Kerney Jr.; five grandchildren, Bobby, Galiyah, Trinidy, Zoey, and Kae’lyn; six sisters, Sheila, Rose, Anna, Carolyn (George), Sylvia, Katherine (Ronnie); four brothers, Charles (Marsha), Clifton, Andre and Kevin; a long-standing friend, Erma Jones; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
