Kenneth D. Evans Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

KENNETH DELROY EVANS, affectionately known as Kenny, son of Mosetta Alewine and the late James Alewine, was born on October 30, 1952 in Baltimore, MD. Kenny was raised in Baltimore City and graduated from Baltimore City College High School. Kenny met the late Rebecca Clark and they had two sons. Kenny started working at an early age and spent his entire career as a Taxi Cab Driver for Yellow Cab Service. He enjoyed working and driving his cabs#564 and #60. He loved to talk and took time every Friday after his last customer to pick up his cousin Loretta from work. Kenny left Yellow Cab Services after almost forty (40) years after experiencing a medical illness. Kenny was full of life and very comical even during his illness. He enjoyed playing his card games, Tunk, Poker, and one of his favorites Pinochle, which he played frequently with his best friend, Kenny Cole, his son Kenny, and his sister Linda. Kenny loved pinochle so much, that his son Kenny set up a weekly pinochle night at his home where Kenny and his best friend, Kenny Cole attended, and they played until wee hours in the morning. Kenny enjoyed family holiday dinners, eating his favorite foods, and showing off his best dance moves. Kenny fought a good ﬁght with his illness and on Thursday afternoon at3:05 p.m. on July 21, 2022 at Manor Care, Kenny quietly slipped away for his heavenly home. Kenny was preceded in death by two sisters Shelley Alewine and Nita Alewine, brother Henry Lee Alewine, ﬁve aunts Geneva, Arlene, Elizabeth, Meleszanda and Ozzie, uncle Charles Jr., two grandmothers Idell Green and mama Clare Alewine, grandfather Charlie, and two nephews, Luis and Lamont. Kenny leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Kenneth Clark and Craig Clark; daughter-in-aw, Kesha Clark; mother, Mosetta Alewine; four sisters, Claretta Hemsley, Linda Dallas, Cordella Nelson and Laura Ann Gamble;two brothers, Eugene Alewine and James Alewine; four grandchildren, Brittany Clark, Craig Clark Jr., Travez Clark and Caleb Clark; four great-grandchildren, Sage, Sean, Tyler and Dexter; three aunts, Geneva Green, Mary Johnson-Smith and Dr. Delaphine Green; uncle, Joseph (Diane)Green; ten nieces, eight nephews, a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and best friends, Kenny and Sandra Cole.
