March 15, 1952 - May 4, 2021
Daughter of Oliver and Elsie Brown (deceased), KATHLEEN was born in Claxton Bay, Trinadad, West Indies on March 15, 1952. She migrated to the United States thirty (30) years ago and has called Baltimore, Maryland home for most of those years. After a brief illness, Kathleen passed away at Franklin Square Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Lady-like in demeanor, Kathy as she was lovingly called was the matriarch of her family and had a passion for children. She was a mother figure to many including Maudlin (Angela) her niece, Ronnell her nephew, and her foster children Reagan and Ava. Kathy loved life and laughing. She spent most of her life doing what she loved and was great at it - arts and crafts and sewing. She was also a great cook of Indian Caribbean dishes. Kathy was a peacemaker and did her best to live her life just as God wanted her to; she fed the hungry, clothed the naked, prayed for the sick and gave shelter to the needy. Matthew 18:20 (KJV) says, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Because of this scripture and her spiritual upbringing, Kathy always found a church to call home. In recent years that church was First Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church where she unabashedly showed love for her Bishop, First Lady Jacqueline and fellow church members, especially her good friend Deacon Hattie Clark. As a member of the church choir, she joyfully used her gift and love of singing to exalt His Name. We will miss her dearly and among those who will cherish her memory for years to come are: her siblings, Aulton, Curtis, Junior, Marilyn and Sharon; her aunts, Daisy and Marjorie, her nieces and nephews, her great-nieces and -nephews, many cousins and sister-in-law. Kathy also leaves many other relatives and friends to cherish her memory. Kathy loved her family, friends and neighbors and was loved by many. We hope that memories of her will be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
