Johnnie Baccus was born on January 6, 1934, in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Nathaniel and Lucille Baccus. Johnnie slipped into eternal peace on Saturday, April 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis, Lawrence, Nathaniel, Wilson, and Oscar. Johnnie attended public school in South Carolina and later enlisted in the United States Anny. He retired from Anderson Trucking Company of Minnesota. Johnnie was employed as a truck driver for Foreign and Domestic Woods for 24 years. Johnnie was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church where he was a Trustee and church bus driver. He enjoyed driving all types of vehicles. Johnnie was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Patricia A Baccus, two daughters Doris Campbell and Diane (Harry) Jones, two grandchildren, one niece, Ernesther Baccus Johnson, three nephews, Nathaniel (Gwendolyn) Baccus, Aaron Baccus, and Lester Baccus, one sister-in-law Annette Abraham, one brother-in-law Bobby Smalls, cherished friend Fred Johnson "Big James", a host of cousins, four generations of great and great-grand nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
