John William Johnson, Jr.

August 2, 1942 - April 24, 2022

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die…” John William Johnson, Jr. was born August 2, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Genevieve Decatur Johnson and John William Johnson, Sr. John received his education in the Baltimore City School system where he graduated from Paul Lawrence Dunbar Senior High School. John later served in the United States Air Force. Spiritually John was raised in the church and was an active member at First Apostolic Faith Church in Baltimore Maryland. John went into the ministry. He is preceded in death by his brother, Reginald Johnson. John leaves to cherish his memories and legacy to his adored wife of 40 years Dianne Johnson of Richmond Virginia; caring daughter, Bernadette Richardson; adored grandson Cameron Richardson, both of Harford County, Maryland; loving siblings, Joyce Beason, Audrey Johnson, Robert Johnson (Beverly), Marvin Johnson, and Linda Johnson (Guy); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. To have touched so many lives bears testament to the fact that his purpose was divine.
