    John W. Johnson, Jr

    February 25, 1959 - March 27, 2021

John Walter Johnson Jr. was born to the late Ester Marie Lewis and John Walter Johnson Sr. on February 25, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public school system. His employment career had him in security, maintenance, driving a school bus and a tractor trailer, you can say he was a jack of all trades. With a passion for singing, Early on he became a member of one of Baltimore hometown gospel group The Souther Souls. Which began his love for gospel music. He began to play several instruments especially his keyboard. He was a center piece to his children and grandchildren. He kept us all laughing. Although he had health issues, He did not let that stop him. He would give you his last and still be the life of the party. However hanging out with children and grandchildren was his proudest moments to all. John leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sharon A. Johnson, 7 children; Victoria D. Johnson, John W. Johnson III (Tifanie), Michael E. Williams, Kathy R. Johnson, Demetra N. Williams-Rhone (Mitchell), Jessica L. Johnson, and bonus daughter Samantha Cosby. 2 sisters, Jacqueline M. Tate-Wilson, Lynette V. Racks, 2 brothers March M. Johnson, Raymond E. Price and 1 brother who preceded him in death Norman W. Price. 27 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. 4 special friends; Shirley Williams, Benjamin Thomas, Jerry Branch, Sade Johnson and a host of family and friends.
