May 19, 1947 - March 27, 2021
Legacy of Love Inetta Rebecca Hayward, better known as Nettie, was born on May 19, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, to father Woodrow Wilson Nolley and mother Myrtle Augusta Nolley. Nettie was the sixth sibling out of ten. She was known affectionately by her father as “Brown Penny.” She is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle; father Woodrow; brothers, John, Barry, Sean, and Kevin; sisters: Loretta, Sonia, Montez, and Michelle. Nettie received her formal education at Brooklyn College. She received her ThB in Theology at the Community Bible Institute in 1981. She received her Doctorate of Divinity from Lighthouse Christian College in May of 1999. Nettie accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She attended Institutional Church of God in Christ, where Bishop Carl E. Williams was the Sr. Pastor; then attended the Tabernacle of Prayer for All People in Jamaica, Queens where the late Apostle Johnny L. Washington Pastored, and Brooklyn Tabernacle of Deliverance Center, where the late Dr. Clarence L. Johnson Pastored. While at Brooklyn Tabernacle, Nettie became a teacher at Community Bible School and later served as Registrar. Nettie was a dedicated teacher, highly anointed by God. She loved her students and had a congenial demeanor that was well received. Her Revelation class appeared to be her favorite subject; she taught it with great veracity. In 2006, Nettie founded Shekinah Bible Institute of Ministry in Richmond, Virginia. The Lord placed it in her heart to start her own church, Shekinah Worship Center and set up bible schools as a consultant and registrar for many churches (in New York). Nettie always made herself available to spread the Word of God. She had the mantle of an APOSTLE. Dr. Inetta Hayward was a teacher’s teacher. She would put you in the mind of Apostle Paul; many leaders sat at her feet receiving tutelage that has enriched their very souls. She taught pastors, bishops, and whosoever had a hunger for the Word of God. Nettie was an inspiration and a wealth of knowledge. She left with us a vast legacy. Nettie was united in holy matrimony with the love of her life, Laddie Hayward. Their 51 years of being together were blessed with three children, William, Richard, and Tiffany. Nettie loved her family deeply and was always the caretaker. She departed this life on March 27, 2021, at 4:01 am. Nettie fought the good fight and is now and forever with the Lord. Absent from the body present with the Lord. To her family, she was the social butterfly – always told funny stories, the entertainer, the spoiler, and never missed an opportunity to speak the Word of God. She was a fighter and loved people. She also loved to travel. She had the gift of giving. She loved helping people. If there was a need, she was the first person to show up. Next to the matriarch of the family, Myrtle Nolley, Nettie was the Rock of our family. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her beloved husband Laddie; sons, William (Joy), Richard; daughter, Tiffany; grandchildren: Keira Rose & Kensi Rebecca; sister, Denise Puyol; sister-in-law, Louise Nolley; dearest friends, Deborah Heard, Colman Elliott, Terry Adams, Bettie Clay, William Carter, Lenora Reddick and Cynthia Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, family and friends.
