Herman L. Warren, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

HermanL Warren, Jr., 68 years, departed his earthly dwelling and entered eternal rest peacefully on May 26, 2022. He came into this life on May 7, 1954, to the late Herman Lee Warren, Sr., and Rosa Warren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucinda, whom he loved for many years. Herman was a diligent worker. He worked as a custodian for 25 years at Grove Avenue Baptist Church and retired in 2003. He loved to cook and bake. His specialty was barbeque and apple pie. Everyone loved his apple pies. He always cooked enough food for twenty people, even if there were only two people in the house. Herman, lovingly called Junie, was a very stylish dresser with his Kango hats, Steve Harvey suits, and Stacy Adams shoes. He said, "The women loved looking at me," so he dressed to the nines, even when he went to dialysis. He liked to dance and stayed up to date with the current events by watching the daily news. He was an early riser, getting up at 4:00 am every morning to sit at the table to drink coffee with his sister Darlene and laugh about the old days. He will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. Remaining to cherish his memories are his loving children, daughters Lorraine Evans, Latoya M. Wells, Alexandria Scipio, Michelle A Warren; son George D. Warren; sisters Darlene Burrell and Shirly Green; son-in-law Kevin Evans; brothers-in-law Mr. Burrell, Mr. Green; grandchildren Lamar Morton, Jamal Morton, Zakira Morton, Kevon Evans, Devin Evans, Phinaja Washington, Kemontray Lambert, Paris Wells, Quadrey Wells, Jaishaun Wells, Trequon Warren, Tyrik Waren, Ramell Warren, Ramya Warren, Nikyia Warren; five great grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends; and devoted niece Theresa Warren.
