Helen Wesley

HELEN DENISE WESLEY WAS BORN ON May 6., 1960 IN Baltimore, Maryland. She was called home for eternal. Rest on Friday, November 3, 2023. Helen received her education and certificate of graduation from Kennedy Krieger Institute. She was a beacon of light for anyone that was around her. All of Helen's family affectionately called her by nickname, Niecy. Upon meeting anyone, the command for respect and acknowledge was there. If she did not know you, Niecy would call you over to ask your name and then send you off to get something for her Niecy loved her family and wonderful friends. She enjoyed visiting with family. visiting with family, holding the newborns and listening to all the old jams Niecy; s top artist were James Brown, Glenn Jones and Chaka Khan. She was a food critic in her own right because she definitely tells you whether or not she liked your cooking. she loved outdoor, shopping at the mall; going to the "Center." to hang out with friends. watching movies at theatre; and a good magazine to flip through. . In March of 2022 Helen was diagnosed with breast Cancer. She received treatments. Bravely fought her battle. and won. The Lord blessed her so that the only side effect she had. was the loss of her hair. Helen never lost her appetite, her spirit or her will. When her hair started growing back it was wispy circle of silver grey and white. Helen looked phenomenal. As her hair grew even longer, it returned. it silver grey and black. Unfortunately, 2023 of this year the cancer of this year, the cancer returned very Quickley and her time was imminent. But glory be the God, our beloved Aunt Niecy was brave, strong and she fought! She remained here in good spirit, humor and love with us. for six more wonderful months Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick (Freddie) and Sadie Lee Wesley, and her eldest siblings, William A. Horn, Janie. Washington, Patricia A. Wesley and Darnell Wesley. Her memories will be cherished by four younger siblings, Zachary and sister-in-law Marsha Wesley, Shawn, Joshua and Latrice Wesley; Aunt Pauline Bell; sister-in-law, Ella Horn. brother-in-law Cleo Washington; 15 nieces and nephew (their children grandchildren and great great-grandchild a host of cousins, special friends and relatives. The family would to acknowledge Helen's extended family for the last 25 years at Unified Community Connections: Magalie Lebreton, Rosa Wamahia, Decontee Fawah, Anna Makokha, Peter, Andrea Giles Miss Wanda, Noel Essence Jennings and friends Shalaya and Amanda. Thank you God Bless you all for the years of love, friendship, dedication and professional care provided to all of us. We would also like to thank; Aunt Pauline, sister-in-law , Ella Mae and brother-in-law, Cleo; devoted nieces, and nephew-in-law Alicia Washington-smith, Kittrell and Lisa Edmonds, Sr.; and Helen's great-nieces and nephews for their unwavering love.dilgem=nce and support.
