Goliath Speedy Riddick Jr.

Goliath S. Riddick, Jr. was born May 20, 1956 in Baltimore, MD to the late Goliath and Gladys Riddick. He peacefully entered eternal rst on July 16, 2021. He was well known as "Pops" to his son, and "Juney" to many other family members. Being raised and nurtured in a Christian home, at an early age Goliath accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined The Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church. Goliath grew up in Baltimore, MD and was educated in Baltimore City Public School System. He graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School and continued his education at Morgan State University. He worked a number of years at General Motors and later for the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (Water and Waste Water Division) where he remained for over 17 years and retired. Juney was a lover of family. He looked forward to and enjoyed the family reunions and calling and talking to family members. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle around the city, loved reading and encouraged others to do so. Goliath was preceded in death b y his brother, Paris E. Riddick, Sr. Precious memories of "Pops" and/or "Juney" will be cherished and remain in the hearts of his son, Chauncey; three grandchildren, Zion Pearl, Tiya'una Moody and Takiy'ah Moody; a sister, Lillie Bridgelall (Cecil); two nephews, Paris E. Riddick, Jr. (Latia) snd Darrin S. Scarbough; a niece, Tracey N. Young; two great-nephews, Ryan and Jalen Young; great-niece, Tamia Young; his uncle, Rev. Paris Sessoms (Theresa) of Elizabeth City, NC; four aunts, Axcie McDaniel, Phylis Shelton (Timothy), Diana Good of Baltimore, MD and Esther McLean of Suffolk, VA; and a host of cousins and friends.
