Sunrise E. Elaine Hackett, daughter of Willie Ellis and Thelma Richardson, was born April 14, 1952 in Richmond, Virginia. She was educated in the Richmond City Public School System and attended J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College to gain her Associates Degree in Information Technology. She met and married the love of her life, Leo Hackett, Jr. on April 14, 1979. They raised four daughters, Bernadette Jacobs, Suzette Carter, Robinette Carter and Antoinette Morris. In 1997, Pastor Elaine resigned as a Telecommunication Operator at Owens & Minor where she served for seventeen years, to become a full-time supporter to her husband in ministry. On April 23, 2004 she was granted membership in the Fellowship Of Inner-City Word of Faith Ministry. In January 2008, she received her Doctor of Divinity Degree from Saint Thomas Christian College. On January 20th 2010 she obtained her Master's Degree in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus Ga. On November 21, 2015. Dr. Elaine Hackett was ordained as a Prophet from Covenant Keepers International, Philadelphia, Pa. Prophet Elaine was a strong woman of faith. She was known for her infectious smile and no nonsense personality. She was generous and always willing to help anyone. She was the Matriarch of her family and ministry. The family called her "Mommy" and her great-grandchildren called her "GG". She taught her children and grandchildren the value of God, faith and family. She left a legacy to her family of God's amazing love and grace, and was an example to all who knew her. Sunset E. Elaine Hackett transitioned to be with the Lord on September 18, 2021, peacefully at Memorial Regional Medical Center surrounded by close family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Ellis and Thelma Richardson; siblings:; Rose Lee Hill and Wilbert Ellis. Elaine leaves to survive and mourn her loving husband of 54 years, Leo Hackett, Jr., loving sisters, Tyris(Thurman) Williams, Lisa (Jeffrey) Oliver and Teresa (Eric) Whiteside; brothers; Dwight (Terri) Ellis, Selwyn (Annette) Ellis, Leon (Patsy)Ellis and Jimmy Ellis, brother-in-law, Herman Hill, Jr., devoted cousin, Teresa Price, four daughters; Bernadette, Suzette (Anthony) Robinette (Michael) and Antoinette. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Marquette (Jameel) Turner, LaToya Carter, Trunell Jacobs, Marcellus Carter, Jr., Darius Jacobs, Michael Carter, Jr., Makayla Carter and Deshaun Morris, Jr. She is survived by seven great-grandchildren; Jamarus Turner, Marquis Turner, Cameron Harris-Moore, Madison Carter, Elijah Carter, Nasir Jacobs and Nevaeh Carter and a host of family and friends including her extending family The Elohim Christian Outreach Center members.
