Esther Ruth Worsley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Esther Ruth Worsley was a loving mother,grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world peacefully and at home with her loving daughter and dedicated caretaker Lora on June 19, 2022. She was born to Louise Williams and Gus Roach on June 9. 1933 in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina. She received her education in the Pitt County School System. It was also in Pitt County where Esther met her husband who proceeded her in death, Willie Ray Worsley. From their union together they had 7 children. Shirley, Lora Ann, Dennis, and Debbie who was affectionately known as "My Momma" (Billy, Larry, and MIchael proceeded her in death along with a bonus son Johnny). She is also proceeded in death by her sisters Emma, and Priscilla and brother Edward, She leaves to mourn:her surviving children and two bonus daughters, Robin and Victoria; two bonus sons Jeffrey and Ralph; her sister, Rebecca; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, MIchael, Marvelle, Demetrius, Larry, Odell, Paygan, Ashley, Jasmine, Camara, Cameron, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Esther Worsley was a devoted Domestic Technician from the early 1960's -2008.when she retired. Esther loved spending time with family and truly enjoyed the holidays they spent together. She was a devoted member of Bethel United United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic. Her favorite past time was talking about the Lord. She always had words of wisdom on her lips.and a hymn in her heart She was a strong, determined, fiercely independent woman . We will miss her everyday.
