Dozene Taylor

Dozene Taylor, age 69, of Baltimore, Maryland, transitioned from this life on Monday, April 16, 2018. Born September 28, 1948 in Enfield, NC. She was the daughter of the late Samual and Ruth Sanders. Dozene was affectionately known as “Peaches” and attended Baltimore City Public Schools where she received her education. Peaches devoted 40+ years in Nursing, starting out at Summit Nursing home, then off to Frederick Villa and finally St. Elizabeth where she cared, loved and was just simply passionate about the well-being of her patients until her health declined, but one thing for sure... she wouldn’t stop caring until it became unbearable. (Now that’s passion) Ones that really knew peaches, would definitely describe her as funny, straight to the point, hard working, independent, a giver, and kind hearted that was loved by many. She loved herself some good food now and being in that kitchen with her grandson Tyrone, she loved music and of course her baby boy Eric soaked it all up. Also, she loved to travel to the casinos and rounds of “tunk”of course for cash with her family and not to forget the snowed in nights at Frederick Villa with the her good girlfriends, and to top that off, the love for the annual Christmas parties where she was always dressed to kill from the popping hair styles, to the fab outfits and those FAB-U- LOUS shoes. She just simply loved taking care of her family and a good laugh over coffee and on that phone. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She’ll tell you... she may not have been a church goer, but she believed in The Lord and always prayed for continued strength and being thankful for all her blessings. Preceding her in death was her husband Eddie Taylor, one brother: Lollie Gray, her mother Ruth Sanders, her father Samual Sanders, granddaughter Sharon Taylor and her great grandson Shaquan Curtis. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Eric Sanders; Daughter, Sharon Johnson; son in law, Eric Johnson; three sisters, Wilma Joyce, Dorothy Strickland and Florence Parker and brother in law, Edward Joyce; Two Stepdaughters, Pearl Taylor and Doris Fleet; three grandkids, Thomas Smith, Shanika Pearce and Brandon Sanders; six great-grand-kids, seven nieces, three Nephews, thirty-seven step-grandkids; Four special friends: Beverly Ebb, Christine Jenkins, Carinthia Scott and Ella Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
