    Delores E. Brown

    June 2, 1934 - February 21, 2021

DELORES E. BROWN was born on June 2, 1934 to the late Olivia Rogers and Benjamin Brown in Baltimore, MD. Dee, as she was affectionately known, departed for Paradise on February 22, 2021. Delores received her formal education through the Baltimore City Public School System. Consistently working for many years as a domestic worker for several Jewish families, she was very diligent about making her own extra money. Dee was that person who would help any and everybody. With her open heart open door policy, you were always invited. She loved and talked about her children and grandchildren. Known as “Lores” to family, she loved the backyard cookouts and porch parties with family and friends. She resided on Boarman Avenue for 59 years, belonging to a rare elite group of neighbors who looked out for each other and kept the longevity of the neighborhood. You could always find her playing the lottery on Dolfield, going to the thrift and dollars stores with her daughters, watching the games with her grandsons and keeping the vegetables growing in her garden. Dee was the devoted mom and grandmother, the cool aunt and favorite friend. She had a whiskey in a teacup personality and that’s what we will miss the most. Her faith in GOD remained with her throughout her earthly journey. She was always blessed and grateful. We celebrate a life well lived. On June 10, 1952 Delores married George F. Brown Sr. Their union was blessed with 69 years of marriage. Delores is being greeted in Paradise by her son and best friend, George F. Brown, Jr. She leaves her husband, George F. Brown, Sr. to cherish her memory. Delores’ legacy is celebrated by her daughters, Angela T. Brown, Sharon Brown, Sheila Brown-Williams; grandsons, Derrick Majette (Toyia), Yarnell Majette, Darryl Burrell (Tiffany); granddaughters, Shalia Williams, Jasmine Gibson, Janella Nolan; great-grandson, Derrick Anthony; great-granddaughters, Quyntia Wilson, Daelyn Burrell, Dallyce Jackson, Caitlyn Brown; niece, Cheryl Thomas; brother-in-law, Robert Moore; a host of other family and friends
