David L. Winchester Jr

David Lewis Winchester Jr. was born on July 28, 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland to loving parents David Lewis Winchester Sr. and Beverly Mason-Brice. He led a life that touched many hearts. David, the eldest among his siblings, departed this world on March 28, 2024. David received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and throughout his life, held various jobs within his hometown, embodying the spirit of hard work and determination. David's commitment to fatherhood was evident as he completed the Young Fathers, Responsible Fathers program, equipping himself with the skills and knowledge to nurture his family. An enthusiast of automotive craftsmanship, David found joy in his work at auto centers and cherished moments spent collaborating on home improvement projects with his father, affectionately known as Big Duke. His passion for life was infectious, evident in his range of interests, from playing video games to shooting pool, grilling to riding dirt bikes - a Baltimore rite of passage, to karaoke and dancing. David was indeed the life of every gathering, his laughter echoing through the room, accompanied by his favorite Bud Ice in hand. Baptized at an early age at Morning Star Baptist Church, David's faith remained an anchor throughout his life. He cherished moments with his loved ones, whether it was cheering on the Ravens at Don Ritz of volunteering to be the designated driver on road trips, relishing the freedom of the open road. As Vice President of the We Kingz Auto Club, he remains a respected figure in the car enthusiast community, fondly referred to as El Jefe. In the embrace of eternity, David joins his grandparents Leola Jones, Ida Mason, Samuel Mason, uncles Eugene Dorsey, Samuel Mason Jr., Robert Mason, Nathaniel Mason, aunts Shirley and Martha Laughlin Jones, and his Godmother Carolyn King. Yet, he leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever endure in the hearts of: his dedicated parents; his children, Dawaune, Aaliah, Lisa, Shaidasha, Adavia, Quadira, Kileal, Kaybre, Zydavia and Daveigh; stepsons Nyrell, Micah and Quran: six grandchildren: siblings, Davinya (Tuttie), Eboni, Elon, Sarita, Jamal, Dayron, Dayshawn, Davia, Cierra, Tierra, Kaycee, Britni, Alisha, Jaquan, Erica; his fiancee Jazmia Johnson, aunts and uncles Jerry Dorsey Joyhn Jones, Jarnette Jones, Alethia Jones, Anthony Mason, Kenneth Jennings, Lyndon Mason, cousin-brother Davon Jones, bonus mom Lisa Paige, Godmother Renee Parker, best friends BJ, Bonk, Tommy and a multitude of friends and family, David's spirit lives on. As we bid farewell to our dear friend, brother, father, son and confidant, let us carry forward the memories of his laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering love. Rest in peace, Lil' Duke.
