David Washington

July 6, 1942 - February 24, 2022

David Albert Washington was born on July 6, 1942 to the late Joshua Washington and Mary Keets. Dave or "Pops" . as he was also known by family and friends departed this earthly life on the evening of Thursday, February 24, 2022. Dave also had five brothers, George, William, Robert, Tommy, and Harry. and one sister Dorothy, to preceded him in death. Dave attended High School in Annapolis, MD and relocated to Baltimore, MD thereafter. He was employed as a Maintenance worker at Ruxton Towers in Towson, MD until he retired after 30 years of employment. Dave enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with his longtime companion of over 50 years. Laura Holmes, who preceded him in death just this September. Dave enjoyed the simple pleasures of life . He loved sports and enjoyed fishing from sun up until sun down. Dave had a quiet spirit and was fun to be around. Dave was kind and generous. He made numerous friends wherever he went and would give you the shirt off his back without a thought. One thing was for sure. Dave had a lot of patience and never complained about everything. He will be sincerely missed by his family and friends. Dave leaves to cherish his memory: one sister, Matilda Teel: two close nephews, James and Kevin Teel: his extended family from Laura Holmes: step-daughter Gloria Martin (Earl Sr.): four grandchildren, Yonne, Earl, Jr Arletta and Craig Martin: and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many, many friends.
