Corey D. Tyson

March 6, 1980 - March 27, 2022

Our beloved Corey Dermont Tyson entered into his eternal rest on March 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Mamie & Ernest Tyson, Jr, and brother Albert Brown. Corey was born in Richmond, Va on March 6, 1980. He graduated from George Wythe High School. Throughout his childhood, he attended Camp Alkulana, where he became a camp counselor, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He eventually started to work at Burger King, then Napa, and Wendy's, where he became Shift Supervisor. Corey loved his family, he was a real jokester of the family and always put a smile on your face whenever he was around. He was easygoing and a "do anything for you" type of person with no complaints. Corey leaves to cherish in his memory to his loving children Kiana, Jaelyn, and Kaiden Gee, his brothers Ernest & Spurgeon "Ron" Tyson, and Leon Stephens, his sisters Wanda Parson and Wendy Betts, his nieces Shaysha & Roniesha Tyson and Alyssa Brown, his godmother Rosa Williamson, his best friend Gregory "Duke" Henderson, one devoted friend Destine Gee, and a host of other family and friends.
