Christopher Lamont Crenshaw

Christopher Lamont Crenshaw entered into eternal peace at Regional Memorial Hospital on July 26, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1974, to Howard Chesler Crenshaw and Cleverna Marie Bell Crenshaw. Chris was the oldest of two children, his sister Sharonda Renee Crenshaw. He received his education in the Richmond Public School System and graduated from George Wythe High School. He was employed by the United States Postal Service for 26 years. Chris was a native to the south side of Richmond, Va., and a child of the '70s. He developed a love for collectibles including comic books, action figures, hot wheels, and funko pops. He would spend his youth in the city hanging out at Fonticello Park playing basketball, dodge ball, four squares, and football, with his friends. During the summers he would visit with one of his aunts Mary Randolph, Rosette Moorehead (Bill), or uncle Wesley Crenshaw (Estelle), and spend time, with his cousins Courtney Randolph, Shaunna Randolph, Kierstin Randolph, Matthew Moorehead, and Alex Crenshaw. In 2003 Chris began to date the love of his life Tuwanda Ruffin. In 2005 they were married and welcomed a baby boy named Joshua Crenshaw. Although Joshua was his firstborn he was assuming the role of father to Tuwanda's two oldest boys, Tyron Ruffin and Uzziah Ruffin. He was also taken on the role as grandfather to Aiden Ruffin, Kaleb Ruffin, and Elijah Ruffin. Chris was a laid-back, easygoing, and very funny guy. He was a very giving and loving man...to know, him is to love him, He was a big guy with a big heart and will be greatly missed. He was proceeded in death by his Grandparents John Howard Crenshaw Annie Mae Crenshaw, Garfield Bell, and Mary Shine Bell, and his mother-in-law Dorothy Mae Ruffin. Chris leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Tuwanda Crenshaw, his three sons Joshua, Tyron, and Uzziah. His loving parents Howard and Cleverna Crenshaw, his sister Sharonda Crenshaw, three grandsons, Aiden, Kleb, and Elijah Ruffin. Father-in-law, Russell Horace Ruffin, sister- in -law Carlese Howell, brother-in-law, Russell Christopher ( Tischia) two Godsons Ricky and Rishad Allen, a few devoted friends, Steven Cobb, William Stokes, and Kevin Hancock and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His memory will forever live on.,
