    April 27, 1933 - July 31, 2021

    Christine's Dash On Saturday, July 31, 2021, the Lord sent one of His angels on a special mission to bring home to eternal rest, our beloved Deaconess Christine C. Allen. Christine was born on April 27, 1933 to the late Frank and Ann Christian of Charles City, Virginia. She attended Barnetts Elementary School and graduated from Ruthville High School, Class of 1950. Christine accepted, Christ at an early age at New Vine Baptist Church. She became a member of choir, the Missionary Board and Deaconess Board. Christine enjoyed life and always had a story to tell. If you needed a good laugh, all you had to do was to be in her presence and she would make you laugh. She was a loving and devoted woman of God. She loved and cherished her family and her church members. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her husband , Roger Allen, Sr., and her daughter, Linda Faggins. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving children, Jill Allen Branch (John) and Roger Allen, Jr. Five grandchildren,Natasha (Steven), Corey (Ayesha), Latoya (Michael),Krystle and Jamelrett aka TJ, eight great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Emma Cotman and Nina Loving, four sisters-in-law, Fannie Allen, Carol Allen, Ernestine Allen and Sarah Christian and one son-in-law, John Faggins. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her God son Eric Adkins, her Goddaughters Tracy Guerin and Pastor Diana Cary. Two daughters at heart, Pamela Wilson and Lisa Christian. Fond memories of her being called Mama Christine, Nana, Grandma Allen and Grandma Christine will be remembered by her honorary grandchildren. Devoted friends, Arnella Christian, Doris Jones, Jeanetter Branche and Christine Marrow as well as a a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. .
