    Chestine F. Winston

    January 4, 1950 - May 6, 2021

CHESTINE FABIENE WINSTON was born on January 4, 1950 to James (Candy) Washington and Jessie Marie Washington in Baltimore, Maryland. Fay was called home on Thursday May 6, 2021. She received her education at Forest Park Senior High School in Baltimore. Shortly after graduation she worked as a daycare provider at Progressive Baptist church. In 1972, Fay married John B. Winston (deceased) in Baltimore, Maryland. From that union, two children were born Dana and Troy. Fay began working at Chesapeake and Potomac (C&P) Telephone company of Maryland (Verizon) in January of 1971. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America local union for over 30 years. Fay was a very avid reader. She was a member of various book clubs, and would frequently miss her bus stop for home because of a good book. Fay loved to watch and collect movies. She enjoyed collecting dolls, in particular Barbie dolls. By God’s grace Fay is reunited with her mother, father, step-father, brother, and husband (Jessie Marie West, James Washington, Dave West, Earl Washington and John B. Winston). Fay leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Dana Washington; son, Troy Winston (Chante’); sister, Jackie Williams (Raymond); brother, Rip Washington; three sisters-in-law, Annette Winston (Melvin), Maxine Winston, Valerie Opher; three brothers-in-law, Melvin Taylor, Ray Williams and Keith Opher; four grandchildren, Jazmine, Taneia, Chamia, Chanae; two great-grandchildren, Izabella and Isaac; two special friends, Dana S. and Naomi; and a host of other relatives and friend
