    Cherrie Rosalean Thompson

    May 27, 1965 - November 4, 2021

Legacy of Life Cherrie Rosalean Thompson, the daughter of Harold W. Thompson and Rosa L. Thompson was born May 27, 1965 in Washington, DC at Freemans Hospital. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She grew up in a Christian home with the nurturing of her parents. Her parents instilled moral values and urged Cherrie to strive for the best that life has to offer. Cherrie was educated in Washington, DC and graduated from Coolidge High School and furthered her education at the University of DC. Her plan in life was to be Anthropologist to travel and study human societies and cultures and their development. That is the main reason she studied Anthropology and took Spanish courses at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). She accepted Christ in life at an early age and worshipped in the church of St. Paul Holiness Church. While being an intern at the Department of Health and Human Services, her health began to fail. While living in the DC Metropolitian area she was connected with some high officials. She later moved to Cary, North Carolina to be closer to her brother Terry and sister Rachel. Unfortuantenly, she was no longer able to work due to medical issues. She was wise and knew how to survive despite some setback and hardships in her life. Cherrie expressed her thoughts in writing poetry. As a hobby, she liked making jewelry. She was a jewelry maker and thought one day she would go into business doing such. Cherrie had many friends, and she loved her nieces and nephews. In her leisure, she enjoyed exercising with her mother; they were a true team together. She was always a well dressed person and made sure that everything was well put together. Cherrie departed this life on Thursday, November 4, 2021. She leaves to cherish and honor her memory her mother, Rosa L. Thompson; father, Harold W. Thompson; brothers, Terry Hinton, Reginald Thompson and Harold W. Thompson, Jr.; sisters, Rachel L. Thompson and Bridget Spruil; nieces, Angelica Thompson and Liliana Guerrero; nephew, Pedro Guerrero and their mother, Carmen Thompson; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and dear friends. We love her and will miss her dearly!
