Charles Morrell Sr.

January 19, 1939 - March 26, 2022

CHARLES MORRELL SR., son of the late James-Henry Morrell, Sr. and Lillie Mae Morrell, was born January 19, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on March 26, 2022. He was the last surviving of his 10 siblings: James-Henry, Jr., Jeffrey, Wallace, William, Eloise, Alma, Inez, Almira, Lillie-Mae, and Elizabeth (Lizzy). He married the late Maxine (Thompson) Morrell on October 23, 1970. Out of this union are four children: Kimberly, Ernest, Leslie, and the late Charles Morrell, Jr. He received his education at Carver Vocational Technical High School and received his diploma in 1957, where he majored in dry cleaning and pressing. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1971. He served as a Ministerial Servant, Literature Servant, Book Study Conductor and Bus Captain. He remained faithful and continued his dedication on to death. He worked very hard to support his family at various companies, such as, Roper Eastern, Ball Metal, and Sweetheart Cup. Charles enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He took pleasure in helping friends, listening to music, and mowing the lawn. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends. He leaves to mourn: one son, Ernest L. Thompson and daughter in-law, Yolanda Thompson; two daughters, Kimberly Morrell, and Leslie Thompson; seven grandchildren, Tia, Kiara, Brittany, Kiana, Gerrod, Aaron, and Shajuan; two great grandchildren, Londyn and Lexx; and host of other relatives and friends.
