    Brenda Mae Jones

    October 6, 1962 - January 7, 2022

BRENDA MAE JONES, was the daughter of the late Freddie Lee Jones. and Cammille Kiah. She was born October 6, 1962, and suddenly departed life January 7, 2022 in Baltimore, Maryland. Brenda attended School #61 until prayer was officially taken out of schools, when she then was transferred to All Saints Catholic Middle School. She attended Edmondson High School where she received trophies for her sportsmanship in basketball and softball. Brenda enrolled in psychology courses at The Community College of Baltimore and secured employment as a geriatric aide working in several capacities at assistant living facilities where she built long-lasting personal relationships with her clients and their families. Brenda loved to crochet and could often be found making hats, scarves, booties, mittens, and even complete outfits. Often times her daughter Brandi modeled her mother’s handmade items and she taught both of her daughters how to create handmade items of their own. Brenda loved to make personalized gifts for her family for Christmas and even sold some in the local consignment shop. She had an impeccable vocabulary and being a calligraphy artist was another specialty of Brenda’s that she shared with friends and family. Brenda was a fun-loving and caring person that kept a Black Jack and Louisville Slugger by her side. She loved to laugh, tell jokes and prank her siblings Timmy, Freddie and Jackie. Brenda loved cooking and baking which led her to sell pies to many neighbors and friends. It was a blessing that she and Bridgette were able to share in making pies together for the last time for Thanksgiving 2021. Being able to enjoy one of her sweet potato pies was certainly a treat. Brenda loved and lived for her grandchildren and enjoyed watching movies and eating snacks with them. Traveling from coast to coast and state to state, her friends gave her the nicknames “Spanky” and “Mrs. B”. Brenda’s jovial spirit sustained her through several major health issues. No one would be able to detect how severe her illness was because no matter what she kept a smile on her face and kept on pushing. Brenda leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Brandi Hunter and Bridgette Jones; four grandchildren, Hope, Aiden, Kiley and Jordan (Prince); four godchildren, Niesha Robinson, James Williams, Samud “Randy” Williams and Darnell Williams; one sister, Jacqueline LeBon-Harris (Richard); two brothers, Timothy Walter Jones and Freddie Jones Jr.; two uncles, John Moore and John LeBon; special friend, Gerald Ervin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends
