    Benton A. Leach

    January 19, 1972 - May 26, 2021

Benton Alexander Leach (better known as Alex to family and friends), the only child of Sadie and Benton Leach, Jr. III was born on Wednesday. January 19, 1972 at Church Home Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Alex departed this life on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 after a long illness. Alex was educated in Baltimore City Public School. He attended Northern High School and graduated in 1990. Alex worked at various jobs after graduation before joining the Friendly's Restaurant chain in 1999. Alex loved working at Friendly's and frequently brought his family to his home store in Parkville to visit or have a meal. He was well-respected by his co-workers and remained with the company until the pandemic shutdown in March, 2020. Alex was married to Shontel Terrell Davis on June 9, 2006. They had three children--Lavell, Trequan, and Monyae, who he loved and adored dearly. Alex was a family man--he loved spending time with his family when he was not working, never missed events for his children, and tried to give them whatever they desired. Alex was also outgoing. He enjoyed cooking on the grill at his family cookouts. He loved to talk--about anything and everything. He had a lifelong passion for playing video games that began early in life with the 80's arcade games to the modern games of today. Alex leaves behind to mourn, his wife, Shontel Leach, his children, Lavell, Trequan, and Monyae Leach, his mother, Sadie Leach and father Benton Leach III. Father-in-law Rasheed Abdullah Mother-in-law Tammy Abdullah, two sisters-in-law Christina and Camille, brother-in-law, Gary. Two God children Camille and Tristen Watkins. As well as a host of family and friends.
