November 19, 1950 - March 10, 2021
Legacy of Life Arleathea R. Glover was born November 19, 1950 in Richmond, Virginia to David Hatcher, Sr. and Rosa Lee Hatcher. She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, David Glover. She received her formal education in the City of Richmond Public school system in Richmond, Virginia. Arleathea accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Fifth Street Baptist Church. There she served in the Culinary Ministry. She was united in holy matrimony with David, the love of her life’s companion until he passed away. Arleathea was employed by the State of Virginia Department of Transportation as a Traffic Engineer. She retired after 38 dedicated years of service. After retirement, she worked as a contractor for different companies. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and auntie. She had a heart of gold and always willing to help anyone in need. She was always happy, spreading laughter and making people feel better, was her gift. Arleathea was a great woman and was truly blessed by God with her cooking skills. She could prepare anything and was a person that you could go to talk to. A listener beyond means. Her glorious smile would light up any room as she was so welcoming and friendly. A woman of grace and elegance that would attract many. She was a true “biker” that loved to ride. She taught her family the importance of being a good person to all. Family was everything to Arleathea, which she expressed in many ways. She was always in her glory during her leisure time. A favorite pasttime was spent fishing with her granddaughter. On March 10, 2021, Arleathea was called home to be with her loved ones. She leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories: sons, Kali J. Hatten, John D. Hatten, Javone Johnson and David Glover Jr.; six grandchildren, Chelsea Barnes (Kenneth), Kendall, Skylar, Kyli, Jaylen and Justin Hatten; two sisters, Patricia Ford and Marla Langhorn; two brothers, David Hatcher, Jr. (Maxine) and Carlton Hatcher (Berneatha); devoted aunt, Dorothea Holmes and life-long friends, Katie Montgomery and Rebecca Fields; nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and caring friends. To have touched so many lives, bears testament to the fact that her purpose was divine.
