Zar’ Kee Carter, affectionately known as Kee, was born on a balmy day, May 31, 2000, in Richmond, Virginia. He was a beacon of joy for his parents, Tiffany Bogle and Jerome Carter, who nurtured their son with love. Once in the vibrant town of Highland Springs, there lived a spirited young man named Kee. Kee was the embodiment of joy, always surrounded by the laughter of family and friends. As the firstborn grandchild on both his mom and dad’s side, he held a special place in the hearts of his relatives, who often doted on him with stories, advice, and of course, love. Raised by his single mother and his aunt Sade Carter, Kee learned the importance of family from an early age. Kee embraced this wisdom, and it guided him through his teenage years. Sports were Kee’s other great love, particularly football. He played for Highland Springs High School team, where his agility and determination made him a standout player. With each game, Kee felt the thrill of competition and the camaraderie of his teammates. Kee was a young man with a heart as vast as the sky, filled with aspirations that danced like fireflies in the dusky evenings. He had a knack for storytelling, often weaving tales that captivated his friends and family, transporting them to worlds where anything was possible. With each passing year, he blossomed into a vibrant soul, his laughter echoing in the hearts of those around him. However, life’s tapestry is often woven with threads of both joy and sorrow. Kee grew up in the shadow of loss, as two of his uncles, Bryant Bogle and Frank Richardson, and his beloved aunt, Sherrie Seay, had left this world too soon. Their absence was a poignant reminder of the fragility of life, yet Kee embraced their memory with grace, honoring them through his actions and his unwavering love for family. As they gathered to honor Kee, they found solace in the memories they shared, realizing that although he was no longer with them in body, his spirit remained woven into the fabric of their lives. He leaves to cherish his memory to two sons, Caleb and Zah’Kari Carter. His beloved parents, Tiffany Bogle and Jerome Carter which loved him dearly. A loving girlfriend, Jalyn Roane, shared not only the joys of parenthood with Kee but also the weight of grief as she navigates life without him. Kee’s legacy was not just confined to his immediate family; he was a cherished brother of Za’Kiyah, Jai’Lynne, Jamari, Jahlil, and his stepbrother Desmond. The Bogle family was further enriched by the wisdom and warmth of their grandparents—Lynnette and Aubrey Gholson, and Lorraine Harris and John Beard—who instilled values of resilience and compassion in their grandson and grandchildren. Kee’s aunts and uncles, Tawanya, Shanyrus, Lolita, Candise, Miranda, Misty, and Sean, creates a sanctuary of love and support.
