YVONNE ROUNDTREE LOGAN (VON) the second of six children was called home on September 3, 2015. May all who were blessed by Yvonne's loving nature find comfort in knowing the she is forever at peace. On May 3, 1951, the second daughter to Mattie Lee Richardson Roundtree and the late Charles Lester Roundtree Sr. was born at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. At an early age, Yvonne was baptized at Zion Baptist Church and walked a courageous walk of faith. It was there that she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and freely shared her fun loving spirit with all who knew her. Yvonne graduated from Northwestern High School on June 9, 1969, where she was among the first non-white high school students to attend a previously segregated school. She would later attend classes at Morgan State University. In 1974, Yvonne met the love of her life, Robert Merril Logan and they married on January 7. 1976. Yvonne had many accomplishments in her lifetime. Her first, Michelle Nicole born on March 14, 1971. Her second most prized accomplishments were her grandchildren, Gregory, Jr. born September 1999 and Cameron Michelle born August 2000. Yvonne had a diverse work history with the Federal Government, State Government and private sector. She excelled as an Administrative Assistant while employed at the University of Maryland until her early retirement in 2006. Yvonne's unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who loved her. She remained a dedicated woman of God as she lived with mental illness throughout her lifetime, survived her husband and overcame breast cancer. Yvonne's favorite pastime was to love her daughter, adore her grandchildren, listn to gospel music and hear the gospel preached. She will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh, generous nature and her fun-loving spirit. As Yvonne is greeted by her Heavenly Father and reunited with Robert and Charles, Sr., the following loved ones are left to cherish her memory: beloved daughter, Michelle N. Thomas; tow grandchildren, Gregory Thomas Jr and Cameron Thomas; her loving mother, Mattie Lee Roundtree; sisters, Connie McGee, Yasmeen Abdul-Latif, LaVerne Perry and Larain Roundtree; brother, Charles L. Roundtree II (Chuck); one son-in-law, Gregory Thomas, Sr.; three brothers-in-law, Melvin McGee, Munir Abdul-Latif and Henry Perry; one sister-in-law, Ann Roundtree; one aunt, Ruth Edwards; one cousin, Denise Williams; nieces, Danielle Mills, Julie Cain, Erica Roundtree, Waqi'a Abdul-Latif, Inarah Abdul-Latif, Ziyada Abdul-Latif; nephews, Lamont Roberts, Muhammad Abdul-Latif, Mujahid Abdul-Latif, Jihad Abdul-Latif, Cheo Davis, Michael Perry, and a host of other relatives and friends.
