Willie Earl Daniel

Willie Earl Daniel, son of Willie Junior Daniel and Mary Frances Daniel was born October 13, 1950, in Wilson North Carolina. After a battle with a lengthy illness, the Lord said it was time for him to rest and called him home. Willie departed this life Tuesday morning June 6, 2023. He received his education through Baltimore City Public Schools and self-enrichment. Willie was a man of many skills and talent. He was also respected, loved. and a dedicated employee of Gary and Son for 40 years until he retired. Anybody and everybody who knew Willie admired his cooking. If you were to take a moment to think about your favorite dish of Willie's, what would it be ? Don't you wish he gave you the recipe. Willie always enjoyed hearing people talk about his cooking And would just smile and laugh at you if he thought you were trying to "out-cook" him. Thinking about those moments will surely bring a smile to your face. However, in addition to cooking, some of you may not know it, but Willie also loved to garden and take great care of plants, with one of his favorite plants being called "Elephant Ears". In his younger days he even enjoyed weightlifting competitions at Chick Webb Recreation Center. His favorite things to watch were Gun Smoke, The Ravens and multiple cooking shows. He also enjoyed looking at portraits of " Nature" which made his heart smile. Willie and the love of his life Jeannette enjoyed many years together. When they went on vacation, he would also enjoy aventurous things such as taking a helicopter ride, horse back riding, and even a 300 foot high Sky Coaster. And we can;t forget o mention his little furry friend "Butterball" who loved him dearly and followed him everywhere. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Willie Perry, Beulah Batts, and Martha Smith ( Lattimer), father Willie Junior Daniel, children, Rodney and Shanell and siblings, George, Kenneth,Timmie. Danita and Kathy. Willie leaves his cherished memories to his loving ,faithful and devoted wife of 2 years Jeanette Tatum Daniel. His children Antoine (mother-Cindy) and Ronnie (stepson) Brothers; Michael, Reginald, (Veronica), Troy and Stevie. Sisters: Mary, Rosalind, Sheryl, Shirelle (Eferen) and Wanda. He also leaves to cherish his memory , his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and other extended family and friends. For we all miss him and always remember him in our hearts. And we will miss his cooking that was seasoned with love.
