WILLIAM BROWN SULLIVAN JR. was called to meet up with his Savior on March 6, 2025, at Johns Hopkins University surrounded by family and friends. William was born on May 18, 1951, to the late Constance Hogans and William Sullivan Sr. in Baltimore, Maryland. William knew God and understood that meaning of serving others, in giving and positive energy. William, affectionately known to many as “Billy” or “Bill” attended high school at Baltimore City College, where he soared greatly in his studies. Immediately after finishing high school, her understood his career path and for over 20 years he took on the position of a Steel Worker at Eastern Stainless-Steel in Baltimore, Maryland. Billy married the wonderful Doris Sullivan on September 25th, 1984. Never claimed to be a perfect marriage but it was LOVE that gave Billy and Doris the strength to care and cherish for one another. Along with Doris having four children of her own; Constance Wheeler, Bennie Wheeler Jr., David Wheeler, and Trina Wheeler, Billy took them in as his. From the union two children were born: Veronica Lee Wheeler and William Sullivan III. Billy took pride in family; taking family trips all over and everyone who was there on that day was bound to enjoy the adventures as well. Along with being a prestigious family man and role model, it was at an early age where Billy would develop the love for dancing. It was experienced by many that his two-step was impeccable. As if that was not enough, Billy really refined his techniques as he carried a rag on the dance floor, wiping his face from serving notice that he was there. In 1995, while on a break from work Billy endured a stroke, but that didn’t stop him at all. He worked towards goals regarding health and strength, he became an at home mentor/teacher, and while still being a provider for he and his family. Bill had a unique soft-spoken personality. Known as a gentle giant with a quiet spirit, which spoke so much volume. His “Oldies but Goodies” and interesting conversation was his relaxation. He believed in enjoying life, while always remembering his family, friends, and even those he encountered for the first time. Bill was stubborn in a gracious way (He loved his Pepsi’s); what he wanted he was determined to get. Billy leaves to cherish his wife, Doris Lee Sullivan; daughter, Veronica Wheeler; Sons, William Sullivan III, David Wheeler, and Bennie Wheeler Jr.; sisters, Darlene Ballard (Richard), Lilet Ballard, and Denise Ballard; aunt, Cynthia Alston (Robert Alston Sr.), a host of grandchildren, great -grandchildren, nieces, nephews ,other relatives, and great friends.
