Warren Arthur Wilson

Reflections of Life WARREN ARTHUR WILSON, 64, husband, father, grandfather and friend quietly passed away into eternal life, April 21, 2014. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Mary Wilson. He is preceded in death by his two siblings, Jeffrey Tyrone Johnson and Gwendolyn Johnson. He graduated from City High School in Baltimore and later furthered his education at Morgan State University. He was drafted into the United States Army and served his country proud in the Vietnam War. On April 1, 1995, Warren was honorably discharged. Warren worked for two years at the Sweet Heart Cup in Baltimore, Maryland. Upon moving to Richmond, he gained employment at the Richmond Redevelopment Housing Authority for more than 18 years as a dedicated engineer employee. Warren was formally married to Ella L. William which passed away. Later in life on April 11, 2014, he married his dear friend and love of almost two years, Norma Jean Robinson. He was given right hand of fellowship and became a member of The Restoration Place Church. He received the right-hand of fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Franklin. He always lent a helping hand and always put other people’s problems before his own. Warren loved his wife and children dearly and would go that extra mile if he could for them, but the apple of his eyes were his grandchildren. He touched everyone he came into contact with and will be sincerely missed from city to state. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his incredible zest for life and his happy-go-lucky nature. A great family provider, humble, honest, respectful loving man that never took life too seriously. He was always ready to play basketball with a smile, watch the Baltimore Ravens which was his favorite team or make his speciality, “tasty” potato salad. In his retirement, he enjoyed playing cards with his family, driving fast cars, especially his “red” corvette. He developed a lifelong love of music and was an avid movie buff. Warren relished the quality time he spent with his grandchildren and new wife, Norma. Our loved ones legacy will forever be a part of all our lives. He leaves Oh Father what a heavenly and joyous day this truly is. As you know the roads are paved with gold and everyday is Sunday, just like you have been told. The trees of fruit grace my garden here and I can walk and talk with my Master without any worries or cares. Please my dear loved ones there is no need to cry or be sadden any longer, for I want you to celebrate my homegoing because for me there is now true peace, happiness and joy here, and of course, there is only sweet serenity. I am sitting at the Master’s bountiful table and listen to a Heavenly choir, which contains some heavy hitters, like Barry White, Luther Vandross, Aaliyah, James Brown, Tupac & Biggie and of course Gerald breaking it down and would you believe Jam Master J is on the wheels of steel, we are jamming and having a good time as I am two-stepping to the lovely music. I also have my own designer who has fitted me with my own white robe and my own wings. I could go on and on about my new home but instead I am going to pray that you will get to move here yourself one day.
