Warren Whitt

WARREN WHITT, son of the late James and Eva Whitt, was born on December 3, 1927, in Newark, New Jersey. Very peacefully and quietly on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 he departed this life and entered into eternal rest. Warren was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and later served in the United States Army. He was honored with many awards while serving and received an honorable discharge in 1947. he was later employed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds as an Ammunitions Handler until his retirement in 1981. after his retirement, he worked for many years as a barber. Warren lived a rich, active and spiritual life. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early in his life and never forgot. He always said his mother taught him to pray as a young child. Warren was a faithful member of the Ray of Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles M. Franklin, Jr. Reverend Charles M. Franklin, Sr. (Emeritus). Warren enjoyed traveling with his wife. He loved to read the daily newspaper and would be upset if anyone moved or touched it. Warren also loved to watch sports, but boxing was his favorite. He enjoyed meeting and sharing life stories with everyone he met. He always tole a good story and was a gentle man. He made everyone feel welcome. Warren was full of life with jokes and laughter that made other people laugh, especially his family. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him. Warren was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and caring wife of over forty years, Annie P. Whitt; his sons, Michael, Dwayne, Robert (Yavette), Tim, Vanarde, Andre, Danny, Wayne and Douglas (Who preceded him in death); his daughters, Angela, Jacqueline, Shelley and Theresa; one brother, James; five sisters, Eva, Sue, Doris, Harriet and Margaret; nine grandchildren, Tramon, Keisha, Tavon, Talisha, Donnell, Quindaryl, Autumn, Robin and Kenyard (whom preceded him in death); five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Patricia and Monica; two brothers-in-law, James and Herbert; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
