Warren P. Johnson

Warren Phillip Johnson was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 31, 1969 to Patricia Ann Edmonds and George Alfred Johnson. He departed this life on November 19, 2014. “Toot”, as he was affectionately known, was the youngest of four siblings – Kenneth Atkins, Robin Oliver, and Micheal Atkins. He received his formal education in Baltimore City Public Schools. He spent a brief part of his life in Louiseville, Kentucky with his father’s side of the family and intended on returning there, soon. Toot was excellent with his craft – landscaping. For many years he worked alongside his late Uncle Terry and cousin Akiba at Terry’s Landscaping. He could turn the ugliest of yards into lively lawns thriving of bright and cheerful plant life. He left a mark of love wherever he went. Family was everything to Toot. In his youth he met Janice Vandiver, the mother of his two wonderful daughters, Shawan and She’ante Johnson. Later in his adult life, he met and married his soul mate - Oddessa “Cookie” Johnson. Just before his marriage, he met, for the first time and accepted, his older brother. Every person who knew Toot had a special relationship like no other with him. He was respectful, loyal, fun-loving, caring, protective and determined. If you needed something and he had it – then you had it. Sometimes, even if it meant - all of it! That’s just the kind of guy he was. The youngest person to get all of this love from Toot was his one and only grandson, born 4 years ago in November – Temonta’e. In his world, only his grandfather existed. They gave each other their undivided attention - as if they were the only two in the world. He demanded to have his grandfather all to himself! Besides his immediate family, there are many who have fond, happy and special memories of Toot. Warren leaves to forever treasure his memory: his wife, Oddessa Johnson, his father, George Johnson, his mother, Patricia Edmonds and step-father, Donald Edmonds , his daughters, Shawan Johnson and She’ante Johnson, his grandson, Temonta’e Holland, Jr, his brothers, Kenneth Atkins (and wife - Marita Atkins), Micheal Atkins (and wife - Ronnette Atkins), his sister, Robin Oliver (and husband - James Oliver, Jr.), his step-children, Mario Bennett and Maria Bennett, his godmother, Carol S. Parham, five nieces, Shantel Watson, Roshell Richardson, Jamia Oliver, Courtney Atkins, Cori Atkins, his nephew, Jamar Oliver, three great nephews – Kiano Watson and Kamren Watson, Kaden Richardson - and a great niece – Kyndal Richardson, along with countless other aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
