Vincent E. Pinder Sr.

VINCENT E. PINDER, SR. was born June 10, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late John James Thomas and the late Inez Elisie Thomas-Pinder. Vincent was called home to eternal rest on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after battling a lengthy illness. “ Vince,” or “Vinny” as he was lovingly called, received his primary education at Gwynns Falls Elementary School, William H. Lemmel Middle School, and his secondary education from Frederick Douglass High School, where he graduated in 1978. While at Frederick Douglass, Vincent ran track and field, was a member of the modeling club, and won several Cross-Country awards. Determined to continue his education, he attended Community College of Baltimore where he also ran Cross Country, and shortly after, he entered the workforce. As a hardworking employee, Vincent gained employment at two local furniture stores in Baltimore City, including the well known Little Pages. After many years in the furniture industry, Vincent advanced to a career at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Vincent began as an Environmental Service Technician, later worked in transportation, and ultimately served as a Surgical Technician until health issues forced his retirement. Vincent loved his family dearly. He was a devoted father who took great pride in guiding and supporting his children through every stage of life. On August 5, 1995, he married his beloved wife, Sheila Thomas Pinder, and together they built a home rooted in faith, filled with laughter, and strengthened by lasting family values. Vincent accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In 2024, he was baptized at The Tabernacle of the Lord Church and Ministries. Whenever he could, he attended church and invited his family to join him, especially for family and friends’ days. Vincent was a lover of music he enjoyed listening to songs, attending concerts, playing in the family band, making people laugh, and simply spending time with his loved ones. Vincent was preceded in death by his brothers Carol, Howard, and Stevie, and his sisters Bertha, Linda, and Diane. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Sheila; beloved mother-in-love, Winifred Bingley; children, Shalanda, Shameera, Vincent, Daniel and Dayquan; daughter-in-love, Janese; eight grandchildren, Tyshay, Deja, Ashaunti, Ryan, Tyquan, Tyler, Aamani and Aaniya; granddaughter-in-love, Raven; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Amir, Tatum and Ty’Aire; four loving brothers, Reginald (Ray), Leroy (Boo Boo), Tyrone (Ty) and Ronald (Ronnie); three brothers-in-love, Andre, David (Peanut) and Benny; one sister, Gwendolyn; two sisters-in-love, Benita and Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts Vincent accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
