Tyrone I. Thompson

Tyrone Thompson, son of Vermeil Sr. and Doretha (Rita) Thompson, was born December 4, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland. His life’s journey ended February 22, 2008.Tyrone, affectionately known to many as Hoshea, was educated in the Baltimore City School System. Feeling the need to further his education and pursue his career in the field of counseling, Hoshea received his General Education Diploma (GED) while attending job corp.He received employment with the Baltimore City Housing Department performing construction work to revitalize housing units in various communities.Tyrone found one of God’s promises to be true when he met and married his soul mate, the former Cynthia (Hadasha ) Moore. They were united in Holy Matrimony on July 8, 1988. Although Hoshea and Hadasha had no biological children they were blessed with many godchildren whom they had the privilege to share in their upbringing.He loved the Almighty God and accepted and received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Hoshea made numerous friends throughout his life and was a mentor, advisor and counselor to those who confided in hi, for guidance. Even though you may not have wanted his advice, he felt the need to give it regardless if you liked it or not. He was a true friend and devoted husband and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.He leaves to cherish his legacy of love; his wife, Hadasha, father, Vermell Thompson Sr. of Queens, NY; mother, Rita Thompson; stepmother, Elsa Thompson of Queens, NY; five brothers, Vermell (Dribbles) Jr., Michael of Loxahatchee, Fl., Douglass of Allentown, Pa., Anthony (Tony) and Calvin of Brooklyn, NY; three sister, Sheila, Verndetta and Yvette Racks; two fathers-in-law, Levi Moore and Sidney DeFord; two mothers-in-law, Rebecca DeFord and Helena Moore; nine brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law; eleven nephews, Bryant Sr., Lorne,Damon, Martinez, Antoine, Michael Jr., Tavon, Isaiah, Denzel, Omar and Kevin, five nieces, Varshay, Courtney, Keisha, Shamia and Crystal;ten godchildren, Taniel,Shanae, Hadaisha, Bryant Jr., Brandon, David Jr., Norman Jr., Amontaze, Billy Jr. and Yavon all of Baltimore, Maryland, and a host of other relatives and friends.
