Tyrone Antonio Hubbard

Tyrone Antonio Hubbard, affectionately known to so many as Ronny and Uncle Ty, was born on November 7, 1959, in Richmond, Virginia. Tyrone was the beloved son of the late George Louis Hubbard Sr. and Lena Lorine Hubbard. Tyrone attended Hampton School for the Deaf and Blind, where he embraced life with determination, resilience, and an unforgettable spirit. He has held a few jobs, including being a snack shop cashier at the Federal Building, worked at 2 pet shops and worked at the Country Club of Virginia. But those who knew Tyrone understood that he held the most important position of all —a full-time life coach to everyone he loved. His “office” was wherever someone needed him, and his work never ended. Whether you needed advice, encouragement, laughter, or simply someone to listen, Tyrone was only a phone call away. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel heard, valued, and loved. If you knew Tyrone, you knew he loved talking on the phone. His daily conversations became treasured moments for family and friends. His legendary three-way calls with his beloved sister, Chic, and his brother, Darryl, brought endless laughter, stories, and memories that will forever be cherished. He also found joy in music, never turned down a cold Pepsi, and had a special talent for giving everyone a nickname that somehow fit perfectly. Those nicknames became lasting reminders of the unique relationships he built with each person in his life. Above all else, Tyrone’s greatest pride and joy was his family. His love was unwavering, his advice was genuine, and his presence was a constant source of comfort and strength. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his children: two daughters, Natasha Nicole and Tivonya Hubbard (Chantel) and one son, Tumar Hubbard (Shanae). He was a proud and loving grandfather to fivegranddaughters: JoTaijah Thomas (Lamont), QhimariHubbard, T’Maiyah Day-Hubbard, Renai Hubbard, and Eri Hubbard. He was also blessed with two great-grandsons, Aiden Thomas and Austin Thomas. He is also survived by two sisters, Shelia Hubbard(Leon) and Joyce Hubbard; one brother, Darryl Bullock(Jacqueline); one devoted niece, Teondra Taylor, who held a very special place in his heart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom shared special bonds with him and will forever cherish his love, wisdom, and unforgettable personality. Tyrone was preceded in death by his beloved brother, George Louis Hubbard Jr. (“Dickie”), and his cherished sister, Chiquita Rene Hubbard (“Chic”). Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Tyrone’s voice, laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched. Every phone call, every nickname, every piece of advice, and every shared laugh has become a treasured memory that time can never erase. His legacy is not measured by titles or possessions, but by the countless hearts he encouraged, the family he fiercely loved, and the lasting impact he made simply by being himself. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
