Tyrone Gray

Tyrone Richard Gray Sr., beloved son of the late Edward Addison and Marjorie Cecelia (Saunders) Gray, was born on July 5, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland. He entered into the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, June 2, 2007, after a lengthy illness.Born into a Holy Ghost-filled family and with the spiritual guidance of his aunt Evangelist Evelyn Jones, Tyrone received Christ as his Savior at an early age at the First Apostolic Faith Church under Bishop Showell in the early 1960’s. Tyrone repented from his sins this April from his hospital bed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where his sister Pastor Deborah A. Moore prayed and opened the doors of the church bearing witness to many of the patients and staff as he received the Right Hand of Fellowship.Tyrone, known to his friends and family as “Pickles”, was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was an avid baker and loved baking cakes for his father. Tyrone was employed as a Counselor for HIV/AIDS Awareness for Park West. From the time of his own awareness, Tyrone fought to help others learn and be aware of this disease. He has received numerous 3awards and citations from churches, private organizations, HMO’s and other healthcare groups for his outstanding efforts on the prevention of HIV/AIDS. Tyrone was a dedicated worker, and even from his hospital bed he was helping others to get into programs. Most of all Tyrone loved life, and throughout his life he was an outstanding dancer.He leaves to cherish his kindness and his love for all; his daughters, Romaine, Tyreese and Tonice; and his sons, David and Tyrone Jr. grandchildren, Ceanni, Tomazja, James,Quante, Destiny, Brandon, Shakita,Shawna, David, Zi’yae and Da’asha; his twin brother Wayne, brothers Eric (Sylvia) and Maurice; his stepbrothers, Edward, Michael, Allen and Tyrone; his stepsisters, Marsha (William), Deborah, Shirley and Diane; his nieces, Antoinette, Marjorie, Erica, Jeneric, Winnie, Jasmine, Coretta; and nephews, Maurice, Melvin, Wayne, Marcus and Leonard; his aunts, Harriett and Ethel; and a host of great-nieces, nephews and cousins; his best friends, Lynne Creditt and Robert Bey; and the entire Park West Family.
