Tracey Hudson

TRACEY LORRAINE JONES was born on May 18, 1970, in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles Edward Smith and Bertha Ellen Jones. Tracey entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Tracey received her education in The Baltimore City Public School System, receiving her diploma from Carver Vocational High School in 1988. Tracey received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2021 from Walden University and also her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024 from Walden University. Tracey had a passion for caring for others and it started with her grandmother, whom she was named after. Tracey’s caring acts lead to her door always being open to family and friends. There are a lot of people who can say they stayed with Tracey at some point in time. Tracey was a hard worker, she never looked for any handouts. Tracey worked various jobs throughout her short life, with her most recent role being with The State of Maryland as a case worker for The Department of Juvenile Services. On October 8, 2021, Tracey married her long-time partner Curtis Hudson in Baltimore, MD. Tracey and Curtis loved to travel and shop; they were two peas-in-a-pod. They were so in sync that they even dressed alike. Tracey lived a wholesome life. She was a humble soul, very loving, caring and always encouraging. Tracey was loved by all who came to know her. She was always like a burst of sunshine in your day, with her smile lighting up a room. Tracey loved to cook and entertain; you would never miss a meal with her as long as “Momma T” was around. Tracey is preceded in death by her dad Charles Edward Smith, grandmother Lorraine Pearl Murphy, Aunt Naomi Moultrie, bonus Mom Sarah Ann Woods and bonus dad Charles Will Dickerson Jr. Tracey Hudson leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband, Curtis Hudson; loving mother, Bertha Dickerson; one daughter, Ashley Butler (Maurice Butler); one son, Deonta Jones; seven grandchildren, India, Reagan, Brayden, Maurice, Damonte, Madison and Anijah; four bonus children, Shaniqua, Kenyatta, Travon and Skylor; one sister, Annette Moultrie; two brothers, Elias Moultrie and Kelvin Flood; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Brenda; one brother-in-law, Bernard; three special nieces, Uneka, Brittany and Ciera; one special nephew, Rashad; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
