Toni Renee Glover-Jones

TONI RENEE GLOVER-JONES was the third child born to James W. Glover and the late Ruby Inez Glover. Toni was taken to Glory after a lengthy illness. Toni attended Alexander Hamilton Elementary School (K-2) and St. Peter Claver Parochial School from the 3rd grade to middle school, then attended and graduated from Western High School. From there she attended Bay College for one year. She was immediately employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital "Medical Records" and her performance opened doors to her being able to train incoming employees. Toni also had an interest in music and spent a few years singing with "Frankie and the Spindles" as a background/studio vocalist. Toni had fulfilled her dream and went on to move up the ladder at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she did medical billing, coding and workshops on various areas of expertise corporately. This took her to other hospitals where her expertise was needed, i.e., Sinai, Mercy, Kernan, Langley Providers and Johns Hopkins University. Later in life, Toni was blessed with the birth of her only child, Bryan Aaron Jones, This was the happiest, most fulfilling time in her life. She stated, "I thought I had gas and my back was bothering me, so when I got to the doctor's office 6 months later, he stated, "No Miss Glover you do not have gas but, you are pregnant!" Toni was "down to earth" in personality and did not pretend or mince words. She got that honestly from her grandmother (Inez Bell); she was very outspoken and direct!! To know Toni was to love Toni! She was extremely athletic and loved all sports. It was nothing to see her on a Softball Team or Bowling league. She was always so youthful in persona and appearance it was really hard to guess how old she was. Finally, Toni fell in love with the one guy who could "tame" her, Bryan Jones, the love of her life. They were married and Toni inherited from that union a stepson (Maliek) who she grew to love and treated as her own. Through Maliek, Toni became a grandmother to Mason Lamont Jones which changed the course of her being. She adored her new place in life... A Grandmother!!!! Later her path in life took an unexpected turn. She was diagnosed with heart disease and this rocky road became debilitating. She fought a good fight but on April 12, 2014, Toni met Jesus and He stated, "Come My child, it's time to meet your Father!" Toni was welcomed home by her Mother, Grandfathers/Grandmothers, Aunt Peggy, Brother Dana, and a host of cousins and friends to begin her mission elsewhere. Toni leaves to mourn: her husband, Bryan Jones; son, Bryan Aaron Jones; stepson, Maliek Jones; grandson, Mason Lamont Jones; father, James W. Glover; stepmother; Beverly Glover; stepfather, Lonnie Penny; mother-in-law, Brenda Jones; sisters, Carla Glover-Logan and Ira Glover, brothers, Aaron David Perkins and Jeffry Glover; brother-in-law, Derrick Jones; sisters-in-law, April Perkins and Regina Glover; stepsisters, Pastor Deneen Penny, Allison Penny, Shelly Harris (Pastor Edward Harris), Kelly Walls (Willie Walls); stepbrother, Charles Fleming; nephews, Edward T. Canty, Jr., Andrew David Perkins, Zachary Aaron Perkins, Dalyn Fabro and Dean Perkins; nieces, Melissa Logan, Jeaneen Logan, Ariel Perkins- Fenwick, Kenyah Fabro, Jalisa Perkins and Chloe Perkins; and a host of godchildren, cousins, beloved family members and devoted friends.
