Tisha M. Sonny

Tisha Maggie Sonny affectionately known as ?Trinni, was born to Bonniebelle Sonny and the late George Sonny on October 16, 1981. She was the fourth of five children. Tisha’s early years of education began at the Ulla F. Muller Elementary School. She was then promoted to the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School. Upon her completion there, she continued her education at Charlotte Amalie High School. Tisha then relocated to Houston, Texas and graduated from Sharpstown High School. Tisha had so many positive attributes. She loved life, was fun to be around, was full of laughter, and was always smiling. At the young age of 11, Tisha was diagnosed with insulin-dependent Type II diabetes at the Roy Schneider Hospital on St. Thomas Virgin Islands. Tisha was featured in a magazine entitled ?JDF (Juvenile Diabetes Foundation) International COUNTDOWN? as an active participant in learn how to manage this critical disease. Through all her years of much pain, Tisha never complained and maintained a positive spirit, which touched the lives of many. She was very understanding and compassionate towards others. Tisha was a true and loyal friend to numerous people whom remained close to her until her sudden passing. Tisha’s hobbies included: dancing, swimming, and enjoying many social gatherings with family and friends. Tisha believed in family and togetherness. Her parents gave her a solid foundation which enabled her to develop strong morals and values becoming the beautiful person that she was. Her sisters Charlotte Plaskett and Natasha Sonny-Williams were her role models and shared very special life-long bond. Her youngest sibling and only brother Lester Sonny truly admired and looked up to Tisha. Their relationship could be described as ?birds of a feather flocked together?. . Tisha found undying love when she met Darren ?Nyah? Kerr whom she knew was her soul mate. From their relationship, in 2004, she embraced motherhood by the blessing of her daughter, T’Nyah Kerr. One year later, her second blessing and bundle of joy Adonai Kerr was born. They became her two ?precious jewels?. They both warmed her heart, mind, and soul. She lived everyday for her children. Her soul mate brought unconditional happiness to her life and this unique bond will forever be cherished. Tisha’s work experiences varied. She was employed at the Omni Hotel in Houston, Texas as a receptionist. Upon her arrival in Baltimore, Maryland she worked as waitress at the Nordstrom Café’. She then moved on to be employed at the Empire Today as an Account Specialist. As a result of her chronic medical condition, she became disabled and unable to work any further. On Monday March 26, 2012, God knew that Tisha needed rest and peace. He called Tisha to become a special part of His Heavenly Kingdom. Although we are all saddened by her passing… we realize that our ?TISHA? is in a better place.
