Thomas Leroy Robinson

Thomas Leroy Robinson departed this earthly life and accepted his golden crown on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Thomas was born on June 23, 1955, at St. Philips Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He soon relocated to Baltimore, Maryland. At an early age, Thomas accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He was baptized and joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Baltimore, where he briefly sang on the choir and was a loyal and dedicated member of the Usher’s Ministry for 57 years. Thomas graduated from St. Elizabeth School in Baltimore. He participated in the Special Olympics in Track and Field where he won many medals. He was employed by ARC of Baltimore for over 40 years until he moved back to Richmond, Virginia, in 2019. Thomas quickly made new friends in Richmond and joined 31st Street Baptist Church. Thomas had the most biggest, brightest, and beautiful smile that would light up the sky. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was well known in his community. Everywhere Thomas went, somebody knew him. Some things Thomas is known for is his love for the Lord, going to church, his Pepsi, KFC chicken, “Sanford and Son,” laughing, his 2-step, talking trash, and most of all flirting with the ladies. He was truly a ladies’ man. Thomas was affectionately known by many names like “Bubba”, “Uncle Thomas”, “Jack Rabbit”, “Unc”, “Tom”, or “Tommy”. He is genuinely loved by his family and many friends. Thomas was the oldest of sixteen children and was proud to say so! He was preceded in death by four of his siblings: Michael, Kelvin, Tina, and Earl; and his grandparents: Lloyd and Irene Wyatt and Joe and Ethel Buggs. Thomas’s legacy and memory will continue through the love of his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Lula Mallory; father, Thomas M. Robinson; eleven siblings, Ethel (Dan), Carl (Ruth), Ricardo, Sandra (Keith), Myrl, Ann (Mike), Carin, Stoney (Tiffany), Gerod, Tara (Francell), and Masoneita; a great uncle, William Thomas and an aunt, Leona Johnson; thirty- one nieces and nephews, a host of great and great, great nieces and nephews, lots of cousins, but most of all, plenty of girlfriends!!!
