Thomas E. McNair

Thomas Edward McNair, Sr, was born on August 10, 1939 in Halifax County, North Carolina. He was the sixth child of eleven born to the late Wesley and Magnolia McNair. He departed this life at home on 1925 East 30th Street on May 24, 2020. Thomas attended White Oak Elementary School and Eastman High School Thomas excepted Christ into his life at Faith Cathedral Church in Baltimore, Maryland. He continued to grow in the Lord no matter what obstacles he was faced with. He was always forth coming with the word of God saving souls and planting seeds for the Kingdom of God. He began preaching in the early 80’s. He was the Founder and Pastor of New Birth Deliverance House of God. He had a unique walk with the Lord and had a passion for souls to be saved. Many ministries were birth from his church. He was in the 5-Fold Ministry for over 44 years. His favorite scripture was Philippians 2:13 and Hebrew 13: 20-21, and his favorite story in the bible was Elijah. Thomas was always a hard worker and enjoyed hunting in his younger age. In the early years of this life he would always work on the farm with his family. As he got older, he worked as Forman for Modlin Farms in North Carolina and later traveled to Baltimore, Maryland and worked for ML & M Construction Company. He had a passion for lawn care and began his own lawn care called McNair Lawn Care Service. His long care service continued to grow and prosper until his passing. Thomas loved baseball and had his own baseball team during his year. He loved sitting in his chair or on the porch for countless hours talking to the Lord. He always called the people he loved Buddy and say, “Are you listenin”. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Denise McNair; his sister, Claytee McNair-oldest, brother, Jerome McNair, brother, George McNair, and brothers, Leon McNair and Matthew McNair. He leaves behind cherished and heartfelt memories with his children, Mary McNair (John), Ester Small, Thomas McNair, Jr., Timmy McCargo, Dana McNair, and Christopher McNair; his brother, Wesly McNair, Jr (Victoria), sister, Flora McNair, sister, Leverna McNair (Sonny preceded in death), brother, Curtis McNair (Rita), sister, Thelma McNair (Roosevelt); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
