Thelma "Ditty" Baldwin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

“BLESSED BY THE BEST” Thelma Fedora Baldwin (Jackson) affectionately known as Ditty, was born March 16, 1946, to the late Therlow and Hilda Jackson. She peacefully transitioned with the Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2022 at her home. She was preceded in death by her two brothers: Thadius and Teacle Jackson. Ditty accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and had attended a few local churches. She graduated from Eastern High in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked as a Budget Analyst for over 35 years at the Kimbrough Army Community Hospital in Fort Meade, MD until she retired in the early 2000’s. Once she retired, she spent time volunteering at Community Baptist Church, and Liberty Elementary School which she thoroughly enjoyed. Ditty was an affectionate person whose doors were always open to ones that needed to talk, a meal or simply a laugh. She had a witty sense of humor and would always speak her mind. She was such a classy lady. One of her greatest accomplishments was mothering her one and only son Earl Norman Edwards III also known as Chilly. Ditty married the late Harry Baldwin in 1982, they were married for a unity of thirty-seven years. She loved spending time with her family and close friends. She looked forward to seeing everyone together when she would host her annual Labor Day cookout. She also loved to shop, travel and most of all she loved the casino. The memory of Ditty will be cherished forever by her son, Earl Norman Edwards III (Deneen); one grandson, Earl Norman Edwards IV; one great grandson, Noah Norman Edwards; two nieces, Tonya Jackson Owens and Tiesha Jackson; one nephew, Teacell Jackson; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ditty had a lot of friends and family members that were very close to her heart. She had a special bond with Barbaranne Wilson, Adrienne Fields, Annette Brown, Shirley Greene, Rita Holmes, Nancy Parker, The Booker Family, Ms. Diane and the Jiggett Family.
