Tamara Sarah Musgrove

Tamara Sarah Musgrove, daughter of LaVerne Wilkins and Stepfather Ben Wilkins was born on January 23, 1963. She departed this life on January 27, 2009.Tammy as we fondly called her was educated in the Baltimore City and Carroll County School Systems. Tammy grew up in Baltimore but moved to Carroll County following her granddaddy that she loved so much, who gave her the nickname “Creesamae”. As a child Tammy loved having fun, swimming, bike riding, playing with dolls and making friends. She loved sucking her finger even with the threat of hot sauce. and she had the most distinctive birthmark shaped like a hamburger on her throat. She loved school and her favorite subject was Math, she studied and was admired for her self-taught abilities. She could do anything she set her mind to do. There were not many boys in the family at her age but someone gave her a black belt in self-defense cause she sure could protect herself.Tammy later met and married Calvin Stacey Sr. and from Shameka and Calvin Stacey were born. She loved her kids and raised them for the most part as a single mom.Tammy was not shy and loved exploring new opportunities with employment. She has done everything from working at hospital to breeding dogs. She loved having fun and caring for pets. She enjoyed baking cakes and made the sweetest kool-aid in town. She loved to read the Bible and she hides those scriptures in her heart. Although not a member of a church she was baptized and found her way to Bridge of Life in Columbia, and United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Bishop James Thornton, however much of the story of Jesus was taught to her by her grandfather, Elder Ellsworth Musgrove. Boy was she feisty, she had no problem in expressing herself and getting to the bottom of things. Tammy had a heart of gold, she loved her Mom, sister, brother, nieces, nephews and cousins. She rarely missed family events. Though Tammy faced many struggles, she knew how and where to seek God for forgiveness, for strength, for finances, for her kids and for love.Tammy was diagnosed with a heart condition a few years back that warranted a defibulator insert. The Lord saw fit to give her a new heart, one that will last with him in eternity. She is now loved the way she longed for.Tammy made friends wherever she went and will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.
