Takeira Keondra Winston

Takeira Keondra Winston more affectionately known as "Keira" and "Tee" departed this life on Saturday,March 3,2012 at Memorial Regional Medical Center,after years of beating the odds,as doctors thought "Keira" would not live beyond teenage years,and that she would never walk;she proved them wrong on both accounts. Keira was born in Richmond,Virginia,on September 6,1989,to Lolita Richardson and James Winston with active participation from her step-father,Frank Richardson. Keira graduated from Henrio High School in 2008. After graduation she further developed her knowledge,skills and abilities by participating in FamilyLife Services Adult Day Care,where she enjoyed attending Monday through Friday. Keira earned the titles of:"Boss," and "Social Butterfly", at FamilyLife,as she in her way encouraged other participants in the program to abide by program rules,while at the same time being attentive to when others needed assistance. Although Keira did not communicate in a traditional manner she was always able to make others understand the message she intended to convey. Despite her limited ability to read,Keira somehow when everybody's birthday was;staff and program participants alike and she always bought or made a card along with a purchased gift. Keira also enjoyed participating in Special Olympics Basketball and was sure to make friends everywhere she went. Keira mixing her Crystal Light packets in the bottled water she brought from home and applying her Bath and Bosy Works products during programming will be moments missed by her friends Keira was tremendously loved by her family which was apparent by how sneakers and outfits were always coordinated,her hair styled,and how involved her mother,father and step-father were with helping many of her day to day desires and big dreams become reality. Keira having the opportunity to meet celerity Chris Brown was one of the most unforgettable times in her life as it meant so much to her. Keira is survived by her mother,Lolita Richardson;father,James Winston;step-father,Frank Richardson,four sisters,Kimberli Bogle,Ashley Battle,Leisha and Markeisha Brown;one brother,Akeem Winston;two grandmothers,Malcenia Bogle and Mary Henly;a devoted aunt,Lynette Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
