Szki L. Wright

A princess was born. Her name was Szki Lanayah Wright, beloved daughter of Timothy Wright, Sr. and Brittany Montgomery. Born a beautiful, healthy baby girl, Szki made her debut on February 18, 2011. She was the oldest of three children born to Timothy and Brittany. Growing up as the oldest, Szki was a very protective, loving, and happy child. She took pride in looking out for her sister and brother. Extremely inquisitive, Szki was to begin Prekindergarten this past Monday at Govans Elementary School in Baltimore City. On Friday, August 28, 2015, God in His infinite wisdom and grace saw fit to call Szki back to Himself. While the family grieves the tragic loss of our little princess, we rejoice that just as God was present in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, God was present with Szki, and our peace comes from our sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life for Szki and all who believe. Forever impacted by Szki’s four years among us physically, her Father, Timothy Wright, Sr.; Mother, Brittany Montgomery; sister, Sanii Wright; brother, Timothy Wright, Jr.; grandparents, Mr.. & Mrs. Robert & Linda Wright, Mr. & Mrs. Rodney & Linda Montgomery, and Alicia Kirkland; great-grandmothers, Audrey Jones and Willie Mae White; great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth Cotton; aunts, Shakia Montgomery, Tiara Montgomery, Sarleah White, Melissa Knight and Tenika Wright; uncles, Brandon Montgomery, Robert Wright (Khadejah), Brandon Wright (Morgan), Matthew Wright, Marcus Wright, Tayvon Kearney, Larry Kirkland and Vincent Hackett; godparents, Tanielle Pittman, Leiann Gatison and Jerrod Jenkins, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends remain to remember her life. To God be the glory for the great things He has done! Szki, I am who I am because of you. You’re the first reason I was a Dad. You gave me my courage & my strength To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy Stand for the ones who can’t, stand for you! It’s hard to stand today because you’re not here, And my heart will never be the same. But one thing that will never change, Not even once life has ceased, Is my love for you! Tell Jesus I love Him, too! - Daddy You were my first true love, the first reminder that God loved me enough to lend me you. I can’t stop asking questions, asking God why, why you, why us, why now, But, my sweet baby, I was raised to know that God makes no mistakes, and even though this makes no sense to me, and it never will, I will myself to keep trusting God. You didn’t die alone. A piece of me went with you, but I rejoice that God has the ability to fill that space and you’re now with Him! So, until Mommy get’s there, watch over me, please. My days won’t be easy. Every now and then allow the wind to blow with your scent. Sing me a song through the birds, and remind me in the way that only my Szki can that Jesus still loves me!
