Stewart L. Frazier

STEWART LAWRENCE FRAZIER, son of the late Reverend John T. Frazier and Reverend Annie B. Frazier, was born on March 28, 1930. He was the youngest of their nine children. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Stewart received his education in the public schools of Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for four years and received an honorable discharge. His career allowed him to work many years as a construction worker until his retirement. He met and married Miss Delilah Lewis, and of this union they were blessed with two sons and three daughters, Patricia, Stewart Jr., Joan, John and Bonita; along with a host of grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Stewart had a wonderful sense of humor and was gifted with keen insight, which he used ministering to others. He had a love for “Bowling,” and as it was his hobby he continued to bowl despite his illness. To know him is “knowing” that he had a strong will to carry on as long as the Lord permitted. At an early age he accepted Christ under the leadership of his father, the late Pastor and founder John T. Frazier of the Mt. Calvary Star Baptist Church. In later years he moved his membership to the Faith Tabernacle Christian Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor and founder Edna Knight, where he served on the Trustee Board and later was appointed the Chairman of the Trustee Board until his passing. Trustee Stewart had a deep and devoted love for God, and his faith in God granted him God’s grace through Christ Jesus that extended him the blessings of living many years beyond gravity of his illness. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Delilah; two sons, Stewart Jr. of San Diego, Calif. and John Frazier of Long Island, N.Y.; three daughters, Patricia Coakley of Dallas, Tx., Joan Brown of Dallas, Tx. and Bonita Roberts of Long Island, N.Y.; with a host of grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn: three sisters, Reverend Omega Pope, Mrs. Goldie Carter both of Long Island, N.Y. and Reverend Cecelia Thomas of Baltimore, Md.; and a devoted nephew/brother, Deacon Albert Carroll (Chairman of the Deacon Board of Faith Tabernacle Christian Baptist Church, Baltimore, Md.); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
