Steven Maurice Lee Sr.

Almighty God in his infinite wisdom touched the heart of his son, Steven on August 4, 2016 at home, Baltimore, MD where he took his flight and entered into eternal rest after a lengthy illness. Steven Maurice Lee Sr. son of the late Joseph Lee & the late Frances Mack born on September 11, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. “Jug or Mo’s” affectionately called, was educated in the Baltimore City PublicSchool System, he graduated from Douglass Senior High School. Steven received his First Holy Communion at a young age which helped to give him the fortitude for many things in his life. It gave him a superior work ethic in order to provide a good home for his children as a single father. He would use the culinary talents he proudly learned from his father and his Louisiana heritage to enter into the Food Service Industry. He was most proud of his employment at the former Bud Paolino’s Resturant in Baltimore. He would often hold down two jobs at once in order to provide for his children. Leaving his part time job at Mars Food Market in the prepared food area, then onto the International House of Pancakes where he was one of the Lead Cooks. He enjoyed his work at Ihop for many years until he was disabled by injury. His most cherished joys were his children Tyesha, Steven Jr., Danielle, and his grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than to spend time with the "Grands" as he would refer to them. He adored being a grandfather, nothing could keep him from visiting or babysitting. Steve could be quite an old soul with philosophical views of his surroundings and the world. His views of life varied from social injustices to religion and living life on his own terms. He was always polite in greeting everyone, and being an independent thinker and not caring what others thought because he did not agree with them. He had a unique spirit in enjoyed a variety of genres of music, which he introduced to his youngest sister. A quiet, gentle , simplistic man with a mischievous grin adored family events. He was proud to come from such a large family and showed such adoration for his siblings, especially to his sisters and nieces to whom he referred to as “The Girls” Steven was his mother’s quiet soul whom he stayed so close to, would often reflect on back in day hang outs with his brother’s Daniel, Michael, Kim and nephew Darrell. He so loved getting dressed up going to a Cabaret, or a disco with them. Preceding Steven, were his mother & father, Frances Mack & Joseph Lee; sisters, Shirley Whittington and Joan Pension and brothers, Harold, Donald, Daniel, and Wayne. Steven beloved father, cherished brother and uncle, leaves to celebrate his life and memory: children, Tyesha, Steven, Danielle , grandchildren: Kayla, Steven III, Maleah, La’Ziyah, Madison; four brothers Richard, Michael, Wendell, and Kim; three sisters, Margaret Owens, Gerleane Robinson, Dana Mack-Marcus; brother- in- law, Matthew Marcus; sister- in-law Rachel Mack; beloved nieces and nephews; two Aunts Dorothy Johnson and Lillian Figgs; and one Uncle, Louis Figgs
